Yeehaw ya'll!

My husband and I have some fun stuff to look forward to over the next few months...besides our lovely getaway.  This weekend, we will be attending the FB Young Farmers Conference in Indy...we look forward to seeing some local friends and meet other young farmers of Indiana.  We will also get the chance to watch some professional bull riding (PBR) this coming Sunday in Indy...and Iam hoping there will be some western apparel booths because Iam in desperate need of a new pair of boots!  Scott and I are also taking our first step in getting more involved with Agriculture...we will hopefully become Farm Bureau board members at our counties FB' annual meeting in a few weeks.  Our pregnant cows will be giving birth come early March...which is always an exciting time...and never a dull moment as we take bets on how many heifers and/or bulls we will have.  It is also a good time as we keep a close eye on our girls and watch for some of the early signs that labor is close.  We are also in the midst of purchasing a clean up bull for our herd...so that has been an ongoing and fun search (clean up bull meaning a bull we use to impregnate our girls that artificially inseminating did not work with...he just goes out in the pasture and does his business with the girls that come into heat).  Also, Gavin turns 3 next Sunday...so we cant wait to celebrate with family and see his face when we show him his birthday present...he is going to be in awe! And hopefully before we know it...Spring will be here!!
